Pattern Design & Book Design

Created in 2024

My grandmother is an illiterate patient with common chronic diseases, so she needs to take a lot of medicines for long-term treatment in her daily life. I designed a series of images for her to distinguish the medicines that need to be taken for different diseases, and also designed relevant instructions.

Pattern 01

High Blood Pressure

My grandmother used to have tinnitus before she had a heart attack, and she described the feeling as being like bees buzzing, so I incorporated elements of the bee and the heart into this image.

Pattern 02

Stroke

My grandmother also takes some medicine to prevent stroke, and family members also play cards with her to exercise her brain and improve her memory.

Pattern 03

Diabetes

My grandmother also takes some diabetes medicine. She loves Shanghai's White Rabbit milk candy and some biscuits called Evergreen, so I also incorporated these elements into the design.

Pattern 04

Insomnia

My grandmother would take vitamin tablets before bed to help her sleep, so I designed the goldfish and orchid elements on the bed sheets into this image.

Pattern 05

Osteoporosis

My grandmother would also take calcium tablets to supplement calcium, and she would also bask in the sun on a reclining chair, so I designed this image based on the Tyndall effect and the pattern of the chair.

Pattern 06

Cataract

My grandmother would also take fish oil to help her eyesight, and in her spare time, she would wear reading glasses and knit sweaters, so these elements also appear in this image.
